Liebe Freunde in Christus,

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS LOVING KINDNESS AND LONGSUFFERING!

In these days of turmoil and uncertainty, something good is happening here in New York City. After months of intercessory prayer for the youth of this great city, the Holy Spirit has been moving in a gracious way. Our prayers are being answered.

An awakening is underway. Hundreds of high schoolers are being saved - among them, gang members, drug users, and those who have not attended church. What is the attraction? Why so much conviction for sin? Why do gang leaders boldly step up to confess Christ as Lord? It is simple: straight preaching of the Gospel, without rock groups or gimmicks. Youth are coming by the hundreds to experience true worship and to hear heartfelt testimonies by other young people who have experienced miracles of deliverance from sin's power.

We believe the Holy Spirit is raising up a testimony of God's power to attract and save this generation of youth, without allowing compromise. God doesn't need worldly methods. He does not "trick" teenagers into coming to his house, using what we think they like. God is proving they are hungry, hurting and wanting truth, and not just more of the same music and foolishness that caused their emptiness in the first place.

Pray for this youth awakening. The times are so unsettling, and they are now desperately looking for what is real.

I have enclosed information about our school of ministry in Pennsylvania. We are able to accept about sixty students in September. This is our tenth year of operation, and we anticipate our best year ever. Our graduates are ministering in various mission fields around the world. Everywhere our students go to minister, people write to us, asking, "Where did you find such dedicated, loving students? We have never had such godly, caring workers."

The truth is we do not find such students. The Holy Spirit does it! He moves on certain ones who read about the purpose of our school, and their hungering hearts respond.

Now is the time to pray over the information enclosed and follow up as the Spirit leads. Your heart will leap if you are one of those who responds to the written purpose described by the school president, Sister Catherine Logan.

We are humbled and blessed by the support being sent to us by praying, caring friends. We are providing shelter and support for more and more widows and the fatherless. We will soon share their miracle stories.
