Dearly Beloved:

GREETINGS IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS.

I am led of the Lord to share with you what we do with the prayer needs and requests sent to us. First of all, God made it clear to me years ago that we could never ask readers to mail us prayer requests as a money-raising scheme. It was to be considered a holy trust. For years now we have prayed faithfully over every prayer request sent to us.

All requests for prayer are opened and prayed over in my Texas office, where our mail is sorted by our support staff. The requests are promptly mailed to my office in New York City, where our pastoral staff lays hands on the letters and offers sincere prayers over them. The letters are prayed over again in our church's Tuesday night prayer sessions, where hundreds seek the Lord diligently.

Finally, Gwen and I pray over all the needs. And I take them to God in my daily prayer time. So you see, much prayer goes up to God's throne on behalf of all the requests sent to us.

And we hear of many answers to our prayers. Genuine miracles have followed our praying. We count it a privilege to join in prayer for the needs, sicknesses, family crises and other problems of all who send us their requests.

This is a praying ministry. We are a praying people. We feed thousands of hungry children. We take in drug addicts, alcoholics, homeless mothers and their children. We minister in jails, on the troubled streets, in AIDS hospices. We do all that Jesus has commanded us to do in feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and visiting and ministering to prisoners, widows and the fatherless.

I am asking every reader of my messages to take just a few moments and drop me a note. Have my messages offended or blessed you? Have any of my books, my writings of coming judgment on America, caused you to be confused in any way? I take to heart all that is written to us. And according to scripture, it is the godly thing to do to let a shepherd know if his messages bless or offend.

I have not begged for money. I have tried only to feed, bless and edify our readers with God's pure word. We do need your financial support to keep doing all that God has called us to do. He has moved, and he will move, on hearts to help - and all our needs will be met.

We give God all the glory.

His bondservant,
David Wilkerson
