The Lord be praised!
I have been overwhelmed by the response to my book, America's Last Call Many have been ordering boxes of 100 copies at a time to give to church members, family and friends - such as their doctors, dentists, etc. A few read only the first two or three chapters then lay it down, angry and disbelieving. They totally disagree with what I've warned about because they see nothing but a booming economy for years ahead. I do believe there could be an expanding economy for a while yet, but you can be sure it will be short lived.
I believe God warns His people of coming judgments to lovingly drive us back to prayer and total trust in the all- sufficiency of Christ. Also, to alert us not to get entangled with the sins and the gross materialism of this age.
Times Square Church is in the middle of a prayer revival. We began on a Tuesday night with standing room only and for two weeks we will gather nightly to pray. We also have all-night prayer meetings. There are no shortcuts to moving the heart of God.
I foresee the time coming when we will have to be open for prayer every day and night because when the economic crisis strikes, many are going to be driven to prayer. It is going to be a great hour for evangelism, with many hearts being opened to hear the truth.
Please pray for us here in New York - for our ministries to the addicted, the fatherless, the hurting multitudes in this city of masses of people and needs.
